Habilitation
Services

Habilitation is a personalized process designed to help individuals with developmental disabilities develop, maintain, and improve skills essential for daily living. Delivered in the home, a habilitation provider works one-on-one with the individual to address goals related to communication, socialization, motor skills, cognition, and adaptive behavior. Parents play a central role in habilitation services by helping to develop goals, select staff, coordinate services, and participate in the home program.

The amount of service provided can range from 5 to 25 hours per week, depending on the needs of the family. Each family's program is uniquely tailored, and we prioritize a family-centered approach, where parents and professionals collaborate to create effective plans for the individual.

At The Nile Health Network, we are committed to providing highly skilled, compassionate habilitation providers who are a good fit for each family's preferences. We actively recruit, hire, and train providers across the valley, and in some cases, parents may recruit their own candidates for the habilitation team, which we then support through the hiring and training process. We offer a variety of resources and supports to ensure the success of each member’s home habilitation program.

Habilitation services are authorized by the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). To qualify for funding, individuals must be approved through Arizona Long Term Care Services (ALTCS).
