Nile Health is seeking dependable, compassionate, and patient caregivers to join our team and provide residential services to children and adults with developmental disabilities in our group homes. Successful candidates will demonstrate a genuine commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in their care, a positive attitude in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, ability to build trust and supportive relationships with residents and a willingness to learn and follow set policies and regulatory standards

Responsibilities:
As a Group Home Caregiver, you will play a key role in supporting residents by:
- Documenting daily progress notes to track residents' development and well-being.
- Planning and preparing meals, as well as grocery shopping.
- Transporting residents to outings and appointments (for designated drivers).
- Building positive and supportive relationships with residents.
- Managing household tasks, including cleaning and laundry.
- Administering medications and assisting with admissions and discharges.
- Redirecting and managing resident behaviors while adhering to Prevention and Support behavioral standards.
- Supporting residents in their daily routines and goal achievement.
- Attending team meetings and training sessions to enhance professional skills.
- Adhering to group home schedules, rules, and compliance requirements, including DDD licensing standards and Article 9 regulations.

Physical Requirements:
The role may involve physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • Must be 21 years or older to operate a company vehicle.

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Reliable transportation and communication.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be able to obtain a non-restricted Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card from the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

  • Must maintain current training and certifications in First Aid, CPR, Article 9 and Prevention and Support.

  • Must be able to pass a background check.

  • Proficient in English (read, write, speak).

  • Proficient in using a computer and navigating applications such as Outlook, Microsoft Word, Google Calendar, as well as performing tasks like printing and scanning documents.

  • Must be a team player and able to complete job requirements with minimal supervision.
